About Reaching for Life (RFL)

Reaching for Life is a vision which started in the hearts of a few businessmen who had a vision for using electronic media to extend the Bible teaching of Dr. Fred Wilson. As the ministry grew we believe God was showing us this powerful tool of the internet. By supplying the teaching and services of the Reaching for Life radio ministry to the World Wide Web, over 50 million people around the world have immediate access to the ministry services and Bible teaching of our ministry.

This is not intended to be a substitute for a local assembly of believers, where love, service and mutual accountability are encountered as essential ingredients of a maturing spiritual life. We do hope that Reaching for Life is a supplement to your local church discipleship, or an encouragement to seek out a loving, biblical church community.

Our Vision

To offer God's life-giving spiritual principles to those who are seeking truth, those who have fallen away from following Christ, and those who need encouragement to greater faithfulness toward God.

Our Mission

To extend the kingdom of God by evangelizing the lost, healing the hurting, restoring the fallen, and encouraging maturing Christian believers through faithfully teaching and applying the principles of God's Word through electronic media.

Our Core Values

1. Our call is to draw people to Jesus Christ by exalting Him and His Word using broadcast media. To fulfill our call we must avoid exalting any personality, employee, ministry or church in order to focus attention on the person of Christ alone.

2. At all times we must remember that this is Christ's ministry. We will give Him the freedom to keep it, close it, expand it, or reduce it without our personal ambitions interfering.

3. We believe that Reaching for Life must be a ministry team with each member first of all fully committed to Jesus Christ and then to the RFL ministry.

4. We are committed to penetrating every area of our society with the principles of God's Word and giving integrity to our ministry by meeting the needs of people distant from our local area.

5. Prayer is the most essential part of the support needed for a strong ministry. We will not allow solicitation of financial support to take precedence over prayer support.

6. We are committed to the support of the local church and therefore will not solicit funds which should be given to a person's local church. It is our purpose to strengthen the local church, not to detract from it.

7. Because funds received for the RFL ministry are entrusted to us by God's people out of money over which God has made them stewards, we will be good and faithful stewards of those funds. We will use accepted accounting procedures and thrifty spending practices to assure the proper use of and greatest return on God's money.

8. Neither Fred Wilson (Reaching for Life's president) nor any member of the Board of Directors will receive any money for services rendered to Reaching for Life. We will serve as volunteers for the cause of Christ.

9. We fully recognize Reaching for Life as belonging to God to do with as He wills. We will obediently accept any direction He gives. We will be ready to take any opportunity God provides without fear and be ready to close the ministry whenever God may be ready for it to cease.
